How it works
1
Get your referral link
Open the referral page in the app to copy your personal link. It is unique to you and stays the same over time.
2
Share it
Send it however you like — chat, email, or social. Anyone who creates an account through your link becomes your referral.
3
Your friend signs up
They get a welcome bonus right away. If someone opens more than one referral link before signing up, only the first link used counts.
4
They build and publish
When your friend publishes their first app, you both earn credits. That first publish is also what qualifies the referral for ambassador progress.
5
They upgrade or stay active
If they move to any paid plan, you earn a larger bonus. Extra rewards unlock when they stay active over time.
What you both earn
You do not earn credits just because someone signed up. Your first reward for a referral is when they publish an app — that keeps rewards tied to real usage, not empty accounts.
When rewards post
Paid-plan rewards post right away because they are tied to a real subscription. Milestone rewards that are not backed by a paid conversion stay pending briefly so Builder can review for abuse before they are granted.
Ambassador status
Qualified referrals unlock permanent status. A qualified referral means your friend has published at least one app — not only signed up.
Status is cumulative and permanent once earned — it does not reset.
Referral credits and caps
Principle: if your friend is paying for Builder, your conversion-aligned rewards stay open. If they stay on Free, non-revenue milestone earnings are bounded.
Fair play
- First link wins — if someone opens multiple referral links, only the first one used gets credit.
- No self-referral — you cannot refer yourself, including through another email, alias (
you+1@…), or account you control. - New users only — your friend must be a genuinely new native.builder user.
- Good standing — accounts flagged for abuse may have referral rewards paused.
- Review holds — publish and activity rewards can stay pending while Builder reviews unusual patterns (for example, many signups in a short window, or publish immediately after claim).
In the app
The referral experience is meant to stay light — no interruptive pop-ups. You will typically find:- Your unique referral link and a one-tap copy action
- Stats such as link clicks, signups, qualified referrals, and paid conversions
- Earnings — credits earned, credits still pending in the review hold, and lifetime referral totals
- Ambassador progress toward the next tier
- Soft prompts in natural moments (onboarding, while an agent is building, after publish, when credits run low, and under billing/settings)
